Leidos’ Threat Characterization Branch, under the Intel Sector is seeking a Section Manager to lead a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems.
Leidos Intel Sector supports high-priority missions across ODNI, DIA, and DTRA, delivering capabilities in all-source analysis, collection enablement, counterproliferation and threat reduction, critical counterterrorism operations, identity intelligence, and secure enterprise modernization.
Primary Responsibilities.
- Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary engineering team to address diverse modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) challenges, software solutions, hardware-in-the-loop prototyping, and telemetry kit prototyping for members of the intelligence and test & evaluation communities and their partners.
- Provide direct technical support for activities including IR/RF threat radar and weapon system MS&A, characterization, analytical tool development, model and simulation operations and maintenance, model integration, hardware/software solutions, and verification and validation testing.
- Provide technical oversight to subordinate employees performing similar work.
- Manage personnel, interview candidates, perform performance reviews, and resolve personnel issues.
Basic Qualifications.
- BS degree from an ABET accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or related technical field.
- Candidate must have at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Candidate must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- Candidate must have experience with the IC and/or T&E communities.
- Candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Candidate must have strong leadership credentials, good organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong technical background
- Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
- Candidate should be willing to travel occasionally to support in-person engagements and events with customers.
Preferred Qualifications.
- Experience with S&TI Community customers, processes, and interests
- Experience with weapon system analysis
- Experience with model and simulation development of weapon systems as well as Hardware-in-the-Loop systems and telemetry kits.
- Experience with software development using C/C++, Python, or other relevant languages
- Experience with Matlab and Simulink
