These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions
  • Conducts physical, chemical and biological analyses of laboratory samples.
  • Prepares and applies specialized solutions and reagents to tissues or related specimens.
  • Analyzes data using quantitative and qualitative techniques and prepares reports as directed.
  • Performs molecular biology procedures, including DNA and RNA extraction from biological samples, PCR, plasmid amplification, immunoblotting, and immunoprecipitation as needed.
  • Prepares and maintains detailed records, logs, and summary of reports of all procedures and results, including graphs, scientific calculations, and statistical analysis.
  • Supports basic laboratory experiments and assists the lab staff as needed.
  • Maintains the laboratory, orders supplies, and conforms to all regulatory policies.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
  • Related duties as required.
