Consor Engineers is seeking a Water/Wastewater Treatment Engineer (EIT) to join our Phoenix, AZ office. About the Role

In this role, you will support the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities serving municipal clients. This position provides handson exposure to treatment processes and facility design while building a strong foundation for longterm career growth.



Responsibilities

You’ll be involved in a wide variety of engaging assignments, including:

  • Supporting the planning and design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including new facilities, expansions, and rehabilitation projects
  • Assisting with treatment process evaluations, calculations, and system sizing
  • Preparing technical memoranda, engineering reports, feasibility studies, and planning documents
  • Assisting with development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers
  • Supporting highquality, clientfocused project delivery

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant civil or environmental engineering experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
  • Design experience on water or wastewater projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project

Preferred Qualifications (not required)

  • Exposure to water and/or wastewater treatment facilities
  • Familiarity with treatment processes such as filtration, disinfection, biological treatment, or solids handling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and client service

 

 

This hybrid position fluctuates between an office environment and a field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, and copy machines.  This job will require occasional exposure to work environments that may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, construction hazards, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements.
While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee include frequent sitting, walking, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling. This job will require operating a company vehicle, and may include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
