Skills/Experience2+ years of experience in a quality environment with understanding of manufacturing terminology and best practices. Advanced understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing as applied in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management System requirements and associated documentation. Proven work history in positions requiring organization, attention to detail, accuracy and multi-tasking, and documentation. Demonstration of advanced competency in both verbal and written communication. Demonstration of advanced competency in problem solving collaboration. Proficiency with MS Office Professional. POSITION: Quality Engineer ILOCATION: Jupiter, FLSTATUS: Salary Exempt JOB SUMMARY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Understanding of effective root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
- Assist in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
- Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system and the Parts Delivery Network
- Responsible for maintaining Internal Controls and the coordination of all controls for the Parts Delivery Network.
- Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved processes
- Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
- Conduct internal audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
- Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality plans, inspection procedures, APQP, etc.
- Preparation of QA reports and metrics.
- Training, coaching and re-direction of employees and peers as required
- Other duties as assigned.
