Starlite Building Services is a construction services operation that serves clients throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York City, Miami, Bentonville, AR and Los Angeles. Our team is made up of hundreds of talented and dedicated craft workers providing valuable assistance with project scope, budgeting, scheduling, site logistics, and materials. This is a role for our Miami Branch. The Senior Superintendent will be responsible for expediting, project management, inspection, and logistics management tasks.
Responsibilities
We are currently hiring a Senior Superintendent with a passion for building! We love creative problem solvers, leaders, and innovators. We value our field and give you the autonomy to run the project. Here are a few items you will be responsible for:
- Lead all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control, and a clean site.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments, including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections.
- Maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects the changes in project status and that meets the cost and time requirements of the project.
- Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations, and any deviation in the direction of the project.
- Always promotes positive relationships by dealing expertly and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors while instilling this philosophy in the project team.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a Project Superintendent with a reputable General Contractor or Construction Subcontractor in both a union and non-union environment
- Experience in managing, training, and developing people
- Ability to lead 1-3 smaller projects at a time
- Strong communication skills and a desire to grow with a growing organization
