About the Role

 

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative Software Developer to join our IT Development team. This is a mid-level role where you’ll actively contribute to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with customer and business needs.

 

You’ll work closely with business partners and technical peers to translate requirements into clean, efficient, and well-documented code while helping foster a strong customer service culture across the department.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with clients, business analysts, lead developers, and project team members to plan, design, develop, and enhance applications, scripts, and procedures using established Project and Life Cycle Management methodologies.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into reliable, scalable programming logic and code.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation and perform thorough testing of new and enhanced modules in accordance with AWG IT standards.
  • Support business process improvements by leveraging new system capabilities to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Partner regularly with lead developers for technical guidance, design feedback, and project alignment.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.
  • Contribute to system analysis to ensure new and updated modules integrate effectively with existing systems.
  • Provide coaching or mentorship to project team members as appropriate.
  • Evaluate new tools, technologies, and methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist in developing Requests for Proposal (RFPs) when evaluating off-the-shelf systems, in collaboration with business partners and leadership.

Qualifications



What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of professional software development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong proficiency in relevant programming languages and technologies within a modern development environment.
  • Demonstrated experience writing high-quality, well-documented code and performing comprehensive testing.
  • Solid understanding of system analysis and module integration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute to meaningful business process improvements.
