| Physical Requirements | The physical requirements are determined by the internship project. The internship projects vary from fieldwork involving lifting 25 lbs. – 50 lbs. while walking on uneven/steep terrain in humid summer weather to computer-based with sitting for long periods of time. |
| Shift | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday. 40 hours per week. The Paul Edwin Potter Internship program is designed as a 10 week program. |
| Job Summary | The Kentucky Geological Survey (KGS) is filling positions for the Paul Edwin Potter Internship for Summer 2026. The position responsibilities will be outlined to applicants during the interview process. KGS researchers will provide program experiences that include a weekly presentation or field experience. Interns will present their work at a KGS student showcase following the conclusion of the internship project. |
