Laboratory Technician
This position within the Shields laboratory will be responsible for standard laboratory operations in an Infectious Diseases laboratory, including the cultivation and storage of bacterial isolates, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, operation of in vitro bacterial killing assays, and standard molecular techniques, including PCR, nucleic acid extraction, etc.
The candidate will need to keep detailed notes and present data at a weekly lab meeting. He/she will need to maintain, calibrate, and clean laboratory equipment, and communicate with collaborators and other personnel regularly.
Bachelor's degree is Preferred.
