Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the build out of all training systems produced by the HFS team. This includes training systems delivered to Fleet sites, and systems used as engineering development models (EDMs) at the Maryland development sites.
Supervise the team of technicians responsible for build outs. Schedule travel assignments in a balanced manner. Participate in installations and become fluent in all installations the program performs.
Coordinate with Program Managers and Technical Project Manager's for installation scheduling. Advise managers on installation effort, technical feasibility, and installation risk. Propose new workflows to improve installation quality, schedule, and cost.
Coordinate with inventory management personnel and ILS personnel to ensure BOM materials are in hand prior to installations and installation documentation is available for ILS use post-install.
Required Education
BS degree or equivalent experience.
Required Experience
U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government granted security clearance. Interim Secret security clearance required to begin employment.
Must have 8+ years of applicable work experience and be able to demonstrate the skills and capabilities to successfully execute the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Experience must include but not be limited to:
Server room design and planning, executing build-outs, and performing preventive maintenance
Technician team supervision
Coordination with inventory and ILS teams
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and work well under deadlines, frequently with quick turnaround. Must be proficient with desktop computing platforms (PCs) and applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Desired Experience
Experience with audio systems, experience with CAD and 3D printing, experience operating and maintaining secure IT systems.
Background: Experience as a Navy ET, ST or FT. Familiarity with facility power and data center power requirements.
Experience with Linux, Atlassian Products and CAD software
